I lost another 4.6 pounds this week, for a WW total of 32.2 pounds and a grand total of 52.2 pounds! A few more pounds and I’ll be at the lowest weight I’ve experienced in recent memory (since before I moved to Nashville in 1996 for certain). This means I not only hit my 10% WW goal, I blew right past it by 3.2 pounds! I also went to the BMI calculator I have linked over on the right. When I began this, with a starting weight of 315, my BMI was 46.5. At my current weight, my BMI is down to 38.8!
So what have I been doing differently this last two weeks that I’ve managed to lose 9.2 pounds? I’m sticking to program. I’m not eating when I’m not hungry. I’m making myself stay busy so there are fewer opportunities to boredom-eat. And I’m focusing on my goals—long-term and short-term—instead of giving in to the desire for the instant emotional gratification that comes from those bad foods that I sometimes hanker for.
Did I meet all of my goals for the week? No. I didn’t exercise this week. That’s really the last piece of the puzzle for me when it comes to getting this all working together. It’s hard for me to get the motivation to force myself to do it when I’m having success without it for the moment. However, I know there will come a time when that’s the only thing that may help me take the weight off.
Several members of my family are going to do a “let’s get healthier” accountability group this year, so I’m really excited about participating in that and having one more venue for accountability and encouragement. So that’s my encouragement to y’all this week: find a friend or a group of people to help keep you accountable to make healthy changes in your life this year—like right here on this blog, if you want to!
Have a great week!
