Food & Fitness Report 7/29/13

Sunday wasn’t a good day for eating—I had too many carbs! So today was a fresh start.

Breakfast: The usual

Lunch: Um . . . it was 2 p.m. before I came up for air from all of my regular Monday work. And I wasn’t really feeling hungry, so I almost hate to admit that all I ate was a 3-ounce pack of deli lunch meat.

Dinner: Another um . . . here. I didn’t have time yesterday to do my meal plan, so I have no idea what I’m going to do for supper, but i’m not feeling hungry. I know I need to eat, but it’s so hard for me to convince myself to do it when I don’t feel hungry. Even though it’s not the healthiest option, I know I have some creamy chicken noodle soup in there, and that’s about the amount of preparation I have the energy to do tonight.

    Have you ever thought of making some things ahead and freezing them in individual to 2-3 portion sizes? Things like meat sauce for pasta, grilled chicken marinated different ways, some soups freeze well. Even if it’s frozen you can either heat it up on the stove fairly quickly or if you think about it in the morning you can get it out to thaw in the fridge during the day.


  2. We had a busy morning here – orthodontist appointment, 6 different stores looking for letterhead/printer paper with a background for my one sheets for conference, then back to get the 5yo from the neighbor’s house. Not much for lunch. BBQ chicken cups for dinner.

    And, um, some cake from the birthday “party” yesterday.

    Tomorrow, I think I’m only going to have two kids. Hoping to take them for a walk if it doesn’t rain all day. And write. A lot.
